Vegan Pet Food and Care

Can Dogs Be Vegan?

Yes! We have domesticated dogs since thousands of years. Dogs have adapted to live with humans, making them capable of adjusting to a meat-free diet, unlike their wolf ancestors. Dogs are even better at digesting carbohydrates than their wolf ancestors. Dogs require two amino acids, L-carnitine and taurine, which are usually added to vegan dog foods or can be added as supplements. Many studies conclude that dogs and cats can thrive on a well-balanced plant-based diet.

Shampoos for Dogs

Petalca Hair Wash: Their hair wash (shampoo) is made from herbal ingredients except for a minimum amount of surfactant. They contain no artificial colors, thickeners or conditioners. While it is made for human use, it is a remarkably good shampoo for dogs – makes their fur clean and soft.

Is It Ok to Give Cats Milk?

No! Cow’s milk isn’t good for cats. Even though they crave milk so much and lap it up within minutes, cow/buffaloe’s milk causes significant gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence and abdominal pain. Unfortunately, these issues can go unnoticed. Ask your veterinary doctor if you don’t believe us.

Adult cats are lactose intolerant and kittens are only able to drink milk produced by female cats—not milk from any other species!

🐱Vegan Cat Foods Available in India

Benevo and Ami are European brands and the food is manufactured in Europe. European countries have strict regulations regarding pet food. As a result, these cat foods are far better than most of the popular Indian non-vegetarian brands of cat food.
